This course exceeds the requirements laid out by permaculture founder Bill Mollison for the internationally recognized 72-hour Permaculture Design Certification. The training provides a deep and wide overview of permaculture design, focusing on skill sets you can apply immediately. It is a thorough introduction to a subject that has many levels and areas of expertise and professional practice.

Teachers
Rico Zook
For the past 20 years Mr. Zook have been a Permaculture designer, consultant and educator working with private individuals, farmers, villagers and local organizations in India, Cambodia, northern New Mexico, the middle-east and other parts of the world. This work focuses on assisting all levels of our global community to create culturally and environmentally appropriate life systems that are resilient and regenerative. He has also worked with local and indigenous cultures to help preserve traditional knowledge and technologies while adapting to and becoming active members of our rapidly globalizing world. With work in different climates and cultures, Rico has established himself as one of the new leaders and innovators in Permaculture worldwide. This is further supported by his work with global Permaculture organizations organizing the International Permaculture Convergence.

Koreen Brennan
Koreen has more than 20 years of experience in building community, organizational troubleshooting and management, adult education, organizing major events, and other invisible structure work. She has worked with challenging design projects in Los Angeles, Florida, Haiti, and Pine Ridge Lakota reservation and has taught permaculture at several universities, city faciltiies and other institutions in the Western hemisphere.
She was Coordinator for the founding Sustainable Urban Agriculture Coalition in St Petersburg, Florida, and co-founder of Create Clearwater, an education-based community organization. She initiated and managed a useful plant nursery in Los Angeles, CA, and incubated another in Florida. She has grown many thousands of plants, and planted thousands of trees in diverse climates. She founded and manages Grow Permaculture, a design and education firm in Clearwater, Florida. She has worked with school gardens, community gardens, city parks, and other public projects to incorporate regenerative design principles.

This fee covers all costs, including materials, three organic meals per day and camping.
